A strong fleet is lining up for the

APC Logistics Lock Crowther Memorial Regatta

The 2011 APC Logistics Lock Crowther Memorial Regatta is on this weekend starting with the Blue Water Ocean race on Friday and the key inshore races on Saturday and Sunday.  Australia’s biggest multihull regatta will cater for all multihull sailors: racers or cruisers; from KAS, a 60 foot offshore trimaran to a swarm of 25 foot Corsair tris.

It’s time to join your fellow multihullers race around Pittwater and meet old and new friends in the RMYC bar to swap stories of the day. Seek revenge against old foes or just aim to sharpen your boat handling skills sailing in one of Australia’s prettiest waterways.  If you have the time, take the opportunity to cruise around Broken Bay on Monday.

A social programme includes:

The APC Logistics Welcome BBQ at the Bali Hut.

·      The Seawind “Black Tie with a Twist” dinner on Saturday night, including a band

·      The LCMR 2011 Presentation Dinner on Sunday night where the winners will be rewarded. 

Breakfast will be available at the RMYC Quarterdeck Brasserie every morning. 

A briefing will be held at 9.30 on Friday morning for the Ocean Race, and 8.30 Saturday and Sunday mornings for the Inshore Races in the Club’s Garden Bar.

Visiting boats can be launched at Bayview ramp complex located close by, parking is available for trailers and a berth or mooring can also be provided, but please notify Peter Moxham, RMYC Marina Manager 0418 423 897 as soon as possible to secure a place.

APC Logistics, an Australian based international air and sea freight forwarder, is supporting the regatta for the sixth time as principal sponsor. Seawind Catamarans is again providing generous support for the regatta social program and prize pool.
